I think hes also being hurt by this projection of him playing free safety, which he did a lot more this year, when he should be projected as a strong/big nickel safety. He’s at his best around the LOS and I’m not really sure why the media keeps projecting him as a deep safety when that’s not what he’s strongest at.

he has great ball skills. There aren't many safeties that can play the ball and run like he can. That is why.


A box safety that cant tackle is worthless.

He's a way better free safety than box safety considering his range and his lack of ability to consistently tackle. He's a guy you want free ranging deep to pick off slightly off passes. He showed that ability multiple times here to close a huge distance in a short amount of time.
