I had him for the first time my second semester of our first year (CJ I?) and I took him every single semester after that. I adored the man and I loved it when he picked on me. "I got the H-bomb!!!"

You remember the time a fellow classmate (initials are BH) asked Professor Pugh what a body cavity search was? Before Pugh could answer I responded "that's where they find tainted evidence."

I sent a text to my dad earlier today "did you happen to have any classes with Professor Pugh?" - along with a screenshot of the OP. His response: "yes and he was one of the best."

Pugh was obviously well liked and well respected among the lsu law community. By all accounts he was a fine gentleman and a treasure this state. God bless Pugh and his family.

In other news, my pops is an official "Old Law Baw"

Brilliant man. Probably my favorite professor at the Law Center.

Always a pleasure to miss class and to be told by multiple classmates later that Professor Pugh had called on me despite my absence, then once had learned I was out, he would tell the class, “If you see him, let him know I called on him.”

“Mr. teatiger that is an interesting interpretation of the Nelson case, however I regret to inform you that your interpretation is unfortunately...WRONG!”

“Miss Bertha, you mean “corroborate”...Co-robb-o-rate.”

“Mr. Pickering, I’m not sure I understand what you are saying.....see me after class”

Section 2 from Spring 1990 understands to what I refer!!

Paging SFP and Joshjrn

I believe that those guys were rocking Girbauds and riding their bikes after school when Pugh retired.

Retired in 1994?

Yeah, pretty much

Always heard good things about the man, though
