Mine used to do the same thing. Went to the place I bought them from and he sold me a wind guard made for this reason. It is a piece of round copper tube that slides down over the gas tube where the flame comes out and prevents the wind from blowing the flame out. I have never had the flame go out since. I will see if I can find an example.
Edited to post link above. It is called a wind guard. The 2nd picture shows how it sits on the flame.
