Trading Kamara doesn't help you in 2020 as much as having him on the roster.

maybe you werent paying attention when he averaged less then 10 carries a game

i love kamara too, but the realistic facts are he will want too much money next year and we wound keep him any way so trade him now and you definitely get a 1st round pick and maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder to go along with that.

he is talented enough to warrant such value from other teams needing a running back yet for us we can do just fine without him

Absolutely no way you get a first rounder for a running back with injury concerns on his contract year. Best you can get is a second and you probably actually looking more at a 3rd.

So other GM's are not paying attention either?

When accounting for the fact that he played 1 less game in 2019 than he did in 2018, his average carries per game weren't that far off of his 2018 totals. And he had the same amount of receptions in '19 as he did in '18. The usage rates weren't that different. It was the big drop in TD's that was the difference.

So the question is do you believe last year is his "norm"? Or was that the anomaly relative to his first two seasons?

Kamara is a huge piece of Payton's offense. Could he get a first rounder in a trade for Kamara? Maybe. But are you confident the Saints can make up for his lost production via other means?

In a season where it looks to truly be the final year for your HOF QB I think the Saints are going to go with a known commodity vs. taking a chance on an unproven rookie.
