to meet James Carville at one of his events. Although I can't say we see eye to eye with our political beliefs, but it would still be a cool experience to meet him.
Anyone ever had the opportunity to meet Carville? What are your thoughts/remarks?

I don't care much for Carville's politics but he is LSU through and through. His rant against the Pac-10 was priceless and on target.

Had to chime in.

Don't agree with his politics but we both bleed purple and gold.

I saw him speak at LSU and my dad has talked with him before. He's a funny guy and a huge Tiger fan.

I'd like to meet him if I had the chance.

who cares about his politics -- when it comes to LSU there is no bigger arder than him ... he's one of the few LSU fans who gets national pub day-in & day-out ... anytime LSU is in a big-game, carville is on the radio with tirico or on sportscenter or doing a live in-game interview ... he bleeds purple & gold like the rest of us but the only difference he gets to show the entire country exactly how each one of us feel

Not to hijack your thread but what have you heard about gabe lynn as far as where he is "leaning". I live in OKC but was in Glenpool for the 4th and heard that it's OU but things could change. I may try to go to Jenks for a game to see him play this year. Some people are saying he is better than Reggie Smith.

Mark me down as not agreeing at all with his politics either. But he is easily my favorite democrat because of the way he wears his passion for the Tigers on his sleeve.

I loved his intro into the NC game back in '04. The one that showed him sitting in his seat in the south endzone of an empty Tiger Stadium and talking about how great it is to be a Tiger. The man is a great ambassador for LSU, and I think that on gameday he would be one fun sumbitch to party and tailgate with.

Honestly, I ahven't heard much of anything about him and I'm in Tulsa. I don't really keep up much on high school sports.

Never met him, can't stand his politics, but I truly admire his passion for the Tigahs, which may be unrivaled, especially among "notable" alumni.

I met him at my parents' house right after Mr. Clinton was elected. He was coming on campus to do some C-Span question and answer thing and my dad was the host (or something like that). He seemed like a super cool dude that loves LSU. He is really friendly and did a great job of having very interesting conversations with everyone in the room.... very personable.

He's cool.
