as a runner first and foremost, I'm intrigued by Zwift/indoor trainer, mostly for when it's mid July in La. and I need to get a mid day workout in, as opposed to running... that said, not sure I could remove my rear bike tire without totally butchering the derailleur, e

If you have a treadmill zwift has running trails. Never tried it but it's there and I don't think they make you pay the monthly fee to use it.

Zwift recently laid off a ton of people and it sounds like they’re not going to pursue development of the running platform.

ETA: Or maybe not. Apparently Eric Min has posted the following on Facebook:

quote:

“Does this mean running is less important? No, not at all. Running isn’t going anywhere and it will get more attention over time. We just felt the way we were organised to support it wasn’t set up for success. It is absolutely core to the Zwift experience as will other modalities when they come online. On the whole, we will be investing MORE in the product than ever before. I hope this sheds some light for everyone.”
