I think they are probably bacteria factories and surely they spread viruses too. But we know that facility in Wuhan was working with Corona viruses. The wet markets probably helped spread it, but it is seems likely to me this one came from that lab just a few miles from a bunch of those wet markets. The real question I think is if it was released or escaped. CCP is guilty of either an act of war or at the least gross incompetence and negligence. Either way China is the asshoe here and there should be hell to pay for it.

I read somewhere that they were experimenting with a virus using the pangolins - some worker there sold the dead pangolins into the wet market.

side note - i recall once back in my photography career, I was doing a high class Chinese wedding in Houston - including all the costume changes.

We were invited to attend the dinner. Nothing they served up was recognizable - all looked like boiled garbage. Even I was not able to eat a bite. We had a trainee with us - young high school graduate - it was all she could do to not puke. Went to Burger King on the way home.

Fiction
I've now heard many learned experts on TV and in print describing Covid19 as a zoonotic disease. That is is is a disease that is in animals naturally that is more or less under control in that population. It is an RNA virus and it mutates and spills over into humans who have no immunity, antibodies or resistance to the disease. It is not the first such example of this type of disease nor the first to come from wet markets in China. If it was developed in a lab, why the hell would it jump to animals in a wet market and then into humans? Bollshite I say.
