Lynching has gone on as a form of capital punishment since the beginning of time and still occurs in many areas of the world. The practice is colorblind.

I mean, what was Led Zep thinking writing that "Gallows Pole" song? I have been married a long time and got a chuckle out his tweet as I know my wife has probably thought of similar at times, people on social media need to get some thicker skin. Absolutely did not think it was race oriented.

Lynching does not mean hanging. It means mob-killing without due process. If the mob ran over its victim with a truck it would still be lynching.
