are all of the treatments the media have running around, is it going to be the ultimate savior?

chloroquine?
antibodies from former infected
the HIV drug

etc etc etc

Combo hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin have best anecdotal evidence but unfortunately several contraindications, needs EKG checked before and during, so likely not a miracle prophylactic. But if production can get ramped up, we could use on most patients needing hospitalization instead of what we are doing now which is only giving to ICU patients since supply is limited.

From one of the hospitals I work at:
Hydroxychloroquine
(Plaquenil®)
-Only limited clinical trial data available
- In vitro activity against various viruses, including coronaviruses
-Has immunomodulatory activity that theoretically could contribute to an anti- inflammatory response in patients with viral infections
-Additional data needed to determine if in vitro activity against SARS- CoV-2 corresponds with clinical efficacy for treatment or prevention of COVID- 19

Azithromycin Macrolide- Preliminary data from an ongoing study in France
-small nonrandomized study that didn’t appear to be designed to compare hydroxychloroquine vs hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin
-Additional data needed before any conclusions can be made regarding possible benefits of using hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin.

Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) Neuraminidase inhibitors:
-Antivirals active against influenza viruses No data to date support use in
the treatment of COVID-19

Darunavir/Cobicistat (Prezcobix):HIV Protease Inhibitor
-Antiretroviral with in vitro activity against SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV
-Some evidence of benefit in animal studies for treatment of MERS-CoV
-Efficacy for treatment of COVID-19 not definitely established.
-Published data currently lacking on in vitro activity against SARS-

Hannity just had Dr Oz on discussing a 62-person trial in China

Half were on hydroxychloroquine, half were not

Pretty solid results for the hydroxychloroquine group.

If we can trust China

Given what you’ve said about the hydroxy/z pack combo and needing ekg during administration, would someone like me (early 40s with a fib) not be able to take it?

Does Advil or Ibuprofen make conditions worse?

Im being told that the vast majorty who died had Advil or Ibuprofen in their system. Those who recovered from COVID-19, did not. Tylenol only if you feel symptoms coming on... To your knowledge, are these true statements about COVID-19 thriving on Advil or Ibuprofen?
