Appalachian State vc LSU Facts:
47 days till
4PM Central
95 Degrees
90 Percent Humidity
Light shower at 2:30PM
Humidity increases
App State players will do OK.

Their fans will absoutely wilt especially after six hours of tailgating, a belly full of beer
alligator, boudin and who knows what else.

Their team will be fine, but their fans will be miserable. Some will miss the game, the rest will leave in the 3rd quarter.

They won't be able to hang with the big boys.
Imagine how bad the trip home will be.

Great weather for Gameday! App state fans will be too miserable to talk sh** before the game. And even more miserable after an arse whipping. All around bad day to be an APPY fan

From the posts I've seen on this board it seems LSU plays most of their home games in the evening so their fans aren't used to the heat. App plays most of their games at 3:00 pm in 90+ weather. It even gets that hot in Boone. Lots of LSU fans are pissed off at the game time but you will not hear complaints from the App fans.

We'll be fine. Most of us get out there before 10am and drink beer and whiskey all day in the heat, while cooking over the grill. We'll be fine. Thanks.

I'm sure that it's going to be a very hot day for all the fans in BR on August 30. Nevertheless, I'm 100% positive that our Appalachian fans will hang right in there with you all.
Whether the game is in BR or Boone the heat will be intense.

The LSU faithful are now basing their game plan on the weather.

Um, We live here. So I think we would know more about and be more used to our climate.

Hey Appy Fans making the trek to BR for the game.
Be sure to bring mosquito repellent. The Asian tigers feed in broad daylight as well as dusk to dawn, you can tell that breed from the white stripes on their legs, but the house mosquito and the other 60+ kinds favorite feeding time is generally dusk till dawn.

I reccommend Avon's Bug Guard products, that's what I use for my family instead of Deet, you don't have to wash it off, it is safe for young children, and works just as well.

I know mosquitoes are everywhere in the country, and so is west nile, but because our climate is subtropical we tend to have more problems with them and Mosquito control units are quite busy even in October.
BUT Don't worry, we are not having a west nile epidemic or anything like that just take the precautions which you probably already do at home and you will be fine.

Where do you tailgate? I don’t remember any mosquito problem at Tiger Stadium going back almost 50 years.

I think Tammany makes a valid point...It would be crying if it was a typo.... You wonder how folks get by in business or school not knowing the difference between 'our' and 'are'...

I've only lived in N.C. for 2 yrs. but I can't beleive it's ever 90 in Boone during football season, much less@ 3-4 p.m. What I can say is the humitity is not even close. 1 thing I can say about Aug. in B.R.,when Oregon st. came it was unbearable all day and then came the coldest rain I ever remember, the temp had to drop 20-30 degrees.Pray for rain or you WILL SUFFER!!

One thing I would be concerned about is the fact that ASU plays and practices at an elevation well over 1/2 mile. TS is at or below sea level. Also as mentioned before, the humidity is killer. When coupled with the temp, 94 degrees can easily feel more like 100 and sweat does not help you cool down, because in moisture saturated air sweat doesn't evaporate. Drink plenty of water and avoid too much alcohol and you will be fine. If you try to drink with tiger fans you will suffer. Not talkin shite, just stating fact. They are used to it, you are not.

Welcome, but pace yourself.

Never will forget the only time I sat in the nose bleed section, my wife was drunk and was standing up on every play. I had to keep my hand held on to her belt to keep her from tumbling down. Watch ya drinking........
