If the season were cancelled at this point, would that mean the Pelicans are in the Draft Lottery again since they were behind in the playoff race when the season was suspended? They could potentially end up with a VERY high pick again to add to this years haul.

I didn't think about the lottery involving both conferences. Thanks for that info, I guess I was being a little greedy wanting a second bite of the apple!

I read something a few weeks back speculating that the NBA could cancel the lottery and slot teams by record (similar to NFL). Not sure why they would need to do that, but it was speculation.

indeed.

time to help the pels choose a player.

better than christmas eve.

replace favors? or is hayes the guy. there are a couple of bigs i would take with 3rd pick in draft.

3/d. are there any?

pg? im over looking for bob cousy. im ok with a great shooter big enough to cover his man.

combo guard 6 4 who can do it all? i dont see any in the entire draft.

we fans missed on the ncaas. there you see regional stars against big time opponents.

We need the lottery, the night is filled with suspense especially now considering the odds were leveled off.

We aren’t drafting another big man. If we get a starting big it’ll be through free agency or a trade. Hayes won’t be ready to be a starter next year.

Best potential 3 & D player in the draft is Vassell out of Florida state. He should be available around the time we pick. Kinda hope we get him. Could take jrues spot in the future when Jrue moves on or retires

looking at mock #4. out today. have to laugh.

lamelo

Ball is one of the most talented players in the draft, but there’s concern about his poor outside shooting (he shot 27.9% on more than six three-pointers per game in the NBL), his struggles to put pressure on the rim, and issues defending on the ball.

how does that translate to high lottery.
his dad is greatest salesman ever.

based on latest from silver pels will have a shot at memphis. so this position will drop.

memphis plays playoff teams.
pels cruise.
should be all time exciting. pels opponents are already on vacay.
memphis gets two bigs back.

because this draft is very weak with a lack of star power. Lamelo has elite pace and facilitates well. NBA front offices love his length. And I’ll assume they’ll believe they can reform his shot and help him be more consistent. Also probably giving him some leeway with his awful fg% because he’s a 18 year old playing in a competitive Australian league

mkeh.

not with my high #1 though. i prefer someone who can shoot with the game on the line. seems like people are schizo about pg.
do you want traditional passing guard. then ball is your man. or do you want the mighty gunner who can fire from anywhere and call out "larry" like when kids play horse. someone destined to win 3 pt contest.

im.starting to be excited how nba sets up the last reg season games.

intense two weeks for
zion vs ja for door prize #8. while lebron/davis cruises.
3.5 lead.
dont forget portland.
looks like they get bigs back.
