old school but,60's & 70's, the whole stadium would yell tigerbait with the first sight of visiting team coming out of the tunnel and would not stop until the tigers came out. pretty cool and imposing. today, it is mixed with boos and not very unique. only exception was ole miss, where the whole stadium would yell "go to hell" and would do it the whole game.

That continued all the way into the very early 80s. I have posted about that also. It was unique and intimidating.

Oh frick! Here we go again. Some dipshit is bringing up the mythical bandwagon. Look tard, there is no bandwagon. BTW, without all of those "new" fans LSU would still be, well, what it was when only you were around.

And just for the record. Everyone here, and that is still alive, is a so-called "bandwagon" fan, unless you're so old that you were at the first game ever.

My opinion is that the "Tiger Bait" chant would be cool but there are too many old fogeys in the stands who do nothing but give people mean looks when they are making noise for the team, or against the opposition.

well, there are those people everywhere...you know the type...show up halfway through the first quarter, leave in the third all the while giving anyone who seems to be having any kind of fun at all dirty looks.

Oh you mean the people that sit on my right? They sell their tickets and we have a different set of four sitting next to me - every single game. And 75% of the time, they're like that.

LSU needs these people just as much as the ones that are screaming our heads off. A good bit of these people contribute major coin and that helps allow LSU to have some of the best facilities in the country. I wish they would all arrive on time and stay the entire game, but if they want to leave it's their right to do so, and I won't complain because it gives me more legroom.

EXACTLY. Why do these people go to the games if they want peace and quiet? I try to sit in the student section as much as possible but when I cant I almost always get ugly looks for cheering.

One game I had an old guy giving me dirty looks all game. Towards the end of the 3rd I finally told him..."Don't give me any dirty looks. If you want peace and quiet there's a couch and a television waiting for you at home." He didn't have an answer and the rest of the section got a good laugh out of it.

maybe that's something that the pa or jumboscreens could direct, as opposed to playing really corny stupid songs like louisiana saturday night, etc.
