About the secondary or the quarterback situation. I am a bit of an optimist, but here's the way it goes down.

Young team, Loads (buttloads) of talent - leaders emerge - and the team Gels
(as we did in 2003) by about the fourth game of the season and we start getting talked up by ESPN for being underestamated.

Hatch/Lee play conservatively, then start to find their feet and play confidently.

The secondary starts off a bit shaky, then play dominantly.

We finish #1 in the west, possible #1 in the SEC, then possibly to Miami in 2009 for a little rondevouz with tOSU again.

I do not see cotton in our future. I see more crystal

Then again, I said I was an optimist

plus this team has learned how to win, how to come from behind, well not this team, but you know what I mean.

it will take a little luck but stranger things have happened.

I'm really not worried. It will be fun to see the next group of tigers grow into great players.

That could very well be a true statement

Agree 100%. Why do so many people underestimate the talent we have. We are a dominant program now, and we get some of the most talented players in the country year after year. I don't want to hear about the lack of experience. These kids are as good as they are because they can almost all handle pressure to go along with their talent. That's what sets them apart. We fill in spots just as well as all the other dominant programs. It's time to get over the sense of doubt some of you have. Be positive, have somewhat of a cocky attitude, we are LSU.

I'm not worried because there is a certain "can't lose" feel to the 2008 season. Had we not won the MNC in 2007, this would be different. But even the Appalachian State game (definition of a no win situation) doesn't feel so "no win." Maybe it's because LSU is going to mud stomp them but still.

I'm not worried. I expect to be among the best in the SEC,and with a few breaks it could be another very rewarding season for LSU fans.

The problems almost always turn out to be where you don't expect.

Last yr, we thought QB and WR were question marks.

We ended up pretty good at both those positions but the d-line and LBs turned out to be soft (Both were supposed to be strengths)

You just never know how things pan out.
