Not just reddit. There was a big article somewhere else that really pushed for it (can't remember where it was from). This will definitely pick up steam as law students are always very entitled.
Also, the NY bar just pushed back their bar exam to the fall. That is causing a lot of panic.

Wisconsin is only state that currently practices diploma privilege if you go to a Wisconsin law school.
If the Bar is pushed back, I see more states enacting the Rule 20 to let unbarred graduates work under supervision.
