Due to the increase to 17 games and the Superbowl now being pushed back an additional week, New Orleans will now host in 2025.

Dip shite, they wouldn't add an extra game, just cut out the 4th preseason game...

They use to play 6 preseason games, and 14 regular season games... see how it works..

Dip shite, there is a reason hotels and the superdome operations team found out this week that the schedule didn’t align in 2024.

See how it works?

I believe they would add an extra bye week. So the Regular season would start Labor Day weekend and the Super Bowl would be Presidents weekend

Which would be nice for those that get that Monday off

NOLA can't accommodate Mardi Gras and the SB the same weekend. It's not feasible.

That makes sense!

Also a SB you MIGHT get once every 10 years vs. one of MANY parades you see EVERY year? No brainer.

How many citizens of New Orleans will go to the parade? How many will go to the Super Bowl ? Now who is the dumbass ?

It sucks because if we kept the original 16 game schedule, we would have had another Super Gras...which would have been great for the city. Its just not feasible to have the biggest weekend of Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl on the same weekend. I can definitely see both sides though, both generate ungodly amounts of money. Both are on par with each other...dont let the crowd size fool you. Both could bring upwards of 500 million to New Orleans, with the difference being that the NFL is bringing that for just one week vs the entire Carnival season.

So, cancel Bacchus!

Also have to cancel Thoth. Plus the hotel rooms would be full of Endymion and Orpheus people.

That said, this is premature. Latoya might have abolished Mardi Gras by then.
