We need a 3rd outside cb regardless, but we do still have incentive to resign him before FA next year.

If we can get him at a decent price it avoids the full $7.2 mil hit for a player we don't have next year for $1.8 mil + whatever new money hit for a player we do have.

If he plays well enough I can definitely see us giving him a 2 year deal next year (with the extra 2 void years still being there and allowing us to spread his new contract out also).
