Saints should sign Eric Reid for 2020

Why shouldn’t this happen?

The less Kaepernick disciples the better.

Safety - Eric Reid (45.6) had the single worst individual rating among defensive players. Yes, his 130 total tackles are impressive, but he got absolutely smoked in coverage. Reid’s 48 receptions allowed were third most among all safeties, per PFF. Conversely, Tre Boston (76.4) surprisingly had a very strong season with the second highest rating among defensive players. Props to Boston for coming back to Carolina and getting the job done.
Per SB nation. Ratings come from PFF.

He has played pretty damn bad lately and has been a big media attention whore/distraction.
Athletes follow that same hot/crazy graph that you use for women, but instead of "hot" you put "talent/production". You can only put up with so much for a player that isn't even that good.

Even though I believe Eric Reid's interception vs Bama is the greatest defensive play I've ever seen by a Tiger his Kapernick BS makes him a liability

Little interest in who the Saints sign and Eric and I are on polar opposites of the political spectrum, but . . .
He was a great safety for us and his int vs Bama was one of the better individual plays in our history at the time but will be overlooked because of how '11 turned out.
ETA: Lithium, brilliant minds think alike but you type much faster than me.

Reality is that some of you stand for nothing. Fall for anything! So you can express your feeling and he can’t WOW. AMAZING

Because he is a football player, public entertainer. If his political views are contrary to the views of the most of the fans, and he is a borderline talent, he should have the self awareness to keep his views private.
The Saints can find a better player and one less controversial.

Maybe they can but most people have this opinion because he expressed himself. He was a great tiger.
