-Peat had his worst game as a Saint against the Vikings, no doubt, it was a bad game.
-Warford played his worst game as a Saint against the Vikings
-Armstead played arguably his worst game as a Saint against the Vikings
-Ramzcyk played arguably his worst game as a Saint against the Vikings
***Do you see where I’m going with this here? Our entire o-line got their arse whipped, that means to me they were unprepared and/or not motivated which suggests a good deal of blame going to our coaching staff, and don’t forget their D gets paid money to make plays as well.

2019 was Peat’s worst season as a Saint. He also had a broken forearm, fact, was he fully recovered? ‘16 & ‘17 were pretty damn good, he got a lot of undue grief on this board. Bringing him back was not a bad decision based on an aging QB we have to do our best to protect up the middle and his versatility to play T as well. Now with that being said, you can question the price tag a bit I’ll admit. He’s getting roughly $11M/yr vs Easton getting I think roughly $4M/yr. Easton played pretty good in his spot duty, enough to make you question if Peat is worth $7M/yr more, but how quick do we forget Easton couldn’t even make the active roster the first half of the season. Also Warford is nearing 30, has a $12M cap hit I think, how much longer is he going to be around? Armstead missed games each year. So that all adds to Peat’s value.
So maybe question $11M/yr, but not bringing him back. So if you say yes bring him back, then ask yourself really what was the difference in what you think he is worth vs what he got, and it’s realistically probably not much of a difference

Doug_H "So maybe question $11M/yr, but not bringing him back." I don't think you can separate the two. It's like saying, "Don't question buying a house, question the price."
"Oh I'll buy the house for $20, but not for $1,000,000 (hyperbole to illustrate my point)." Whether we brought him back DEPENDS on the price. For $20 mil a year, no way. for $3 mil a year, a no-brainer.
