We all stay home, the virus runs it’s course, we have short term immunity, a vaccine and treatment is available, we return to life.
What does run it’s course mean? That would seem to assume that it is either seasonal or will ultimately die off.
How do we get short term immunity if we never get it because we are quarantined? Then the vaccine comes out in 18 months?

Anyone who thinks the government will cede control in 15 days or whatever is kidding themselves

Haven’t you seen the posts about how viruses last forever. This is your life now. No more bars or socializing. Enjoy being on prisoner style lockdown

The vast majority of cases are asymptomatic or extremely mild. Most may not be even be aware they’ve already had it. That’s a lot of immunity that helps develop herd immunity.
They are already having success with some treatment plans and the approval process for these things are being fast tracked. There’s also the hope that warm, humid environments will prevent the spread of this like it does with other coronavirus.
We are only at the very beginning of this process and more info will make our options more clear.
