She's definitely going to love ACNH then. You should definitely join on the island with her too, unlocking the different things on the island goes a bit quicker when you have someone else to help with things.

I finally fished up enough empty cans for the trash recipes but now I don’t have enough old tires to make the trash heap wall and flooring

I'll probably take that advice
I enjoy games with "no end". Can't even remember the last game I played that was totally linear with no endgame content. Love games that "end" but keep on going, it's why I'm so partial to the Final Fantasy titles and games like Skyrim and W3.
