How did we increase our testing Per day by 200k cases per day over a Just a 2 week span

Why are more people randomly getting tested?

Only theorizing here, but as more people return to work (unemployment rate dropping) more people are having to return a negative test to do so, primarily in jobs that can’t be done remotely. Some states are increasing their max capacity in bars and restaurants, requiring more staff free from a positive test.

So while we are seeing a slight uptick in cases, the positive rate is dropping.
