CDC recommendation of no events of 50-plus people for next two months comes as a number of NBA owners and executives increasingly believe a best case scenario is a mid-to-late June return to play -- with no fans. League's scouting for possible arena dates all the way thru August.

yeah they aren’t coming back.
pushing resumption until June pushes playoffs into august. They aren’t going to then open camps in October
they can bite the bullet this season and get a full season in in 2020/21. No way they truncate next season to get this one in

If you do the math - w/players, trainers, coaches, referees, stats crew, broadcast, floor moppers, etc - may not be able to get that under 50 for a game without fans. Technically, can have those on the bench take over mop duty(!), but still...
