That's the big issue with the breeding. Not too many people are really ready to care for an adult tiger for 15-20 years.
They can't be released into the wild, and there are only so many zoos. So when you have guys like Doc who need to have 5-10 cubs at any given point, that winds up being like 20-30 tigers a year that there isn't a long term ability to care for.
