MLS has mandated that all teams travel on private charter flights until further notice to reduce their risk of contracting the virus.

I think that’s just a preliminary step with much bigger decisions to come. Personally, I think they’ll try to play this week’s games, and maybe next week, then they’ll eventually have to postpone most or all games for a few months and hope this thing calms down.

If a player or coach is confirmed to be infected, that might cancel a big chunk of, or even the entire, season. We’ll see.

MLS is very dependent on gate revenue instead of TV revenue compared to the other leagues. I don’t think you’ll see months of an MLS season played in empty stadiums. That doesn’t make financial sense for the league, whereas the MLB and March Madness can still make loads of money doing that.

From Sky Sports:

BREAKING: Real Madrid’s football players have been sent home to self-isolate for 15 days after a member of the basketball team tested positive for the coronavirus.

Big meeting here in the UK today to decide the future of Premiership and FL matches. I have plans to travel to Wales for the Leeds-Cardiff match this weekend plus two matches in Leeds next week. From what I've heard looks like all those will be behind closed doors.
