Risk outweighs any benefits. We have offshore islands we can send these people to. I imagine many in Oakland are in a state of panic with that ship docking at their port.

Also, why tf are people still going on cruises after this outbreak started?

Yes. They can show us how American they are (since it was shoved down our throats when they needed hurricane relief.) All in favor?

Never went on a cruise, never will. Not that crazy about the ocean to be confined out there. Will continue to fly however.

I'd feel better with the Navy being within sighting distance of these ships for sure.

Went on an Alaskan cruise 3 years ago with the family, which was my first cruise ever. It was an incredible experience. Did a 4 nighter last year out of NOLA with just the wife, and it was not anywhere near the same. Carnival boat was a fractions of the elegance to what we had in Alaska, and everything on it felt cheap. However, it was still a fun time.

There's something to being on the water in the middle of nowhere with all the alcohol and food you can consume at your disposal. We did have a suite both trips, so maybe that helped the experience. Not sure, but we loved both times even though the Carnival one was far inferior.

Heard a radio news story over the weekend about a woman on that boat with stage 4 cancer who resumes chemo treatments today.

You can't just keep uninfected people from going home.

SF told Newsom to go frick himself. He couldn’t even defend not choosing SF yesterday during his presser

Show me where people on those cruise ships were forced to take those cruises and I'll agree. Otherwise, one sick person can infect many within 6 feet of them and it's not worth the risk.
