Anyone tackle a retro PC build recently?

By retro, I mean a Win 98/pentium 3 build. I went down a youtube rabbit hole where they find old parts and create an "ultimate" Windows 95-98 PC. I might try to tackle it for no other reason but to see if I could do it. The only "modern" part would be the hard drive.
I kind of miss the old days of PC building and being somewhat off the grid.

I have a graveyard of old PC equipment that I've been meaning to bring to the recycle center for the past decade. Tell me what you're looking for and I'll see if I have it or you can come by and see for yourself.

No, but I've been considering building a pc for photo editing using today parts. But to your point, the tech from that era wasn't so bad. Windows 7 was the best Windows.

Consumer tech from that era was absolutely horrible

Compared to today sure. It was cutting edge then.
