Don't know if that is to commemorate a former player or the number of the player who wore the helmet.

If you are making a point of the words being plural, it looks like they are rolling items out one at a time. Based on the auction #'s for the items.

The highest bidder gets the first helmet. Then you list another helmet and the second highest bidder from the previous auction wins the 2nd helmet and so on.
May be totally wrong but it seems like a good idea to me. IF that is what they are doing.
