Can you honestly say the offense improves next year when you lose Cabrera, Mathis & Garza? It’s not even any good this year to begin with

Man I like Milazzo, but he’s going to be a defensive guy first. His offense won’t be a negative but there are holes in his approach

Beloso will eventually need to start pulling the ball for some power. He hasn’t been bad but the shift is fricking with him. He wants to hit everything to the left side & LSU needs more than that out of him.

And I’m not hating on Cabrera. He certainly can be a high pick but I don’t think he’s going to carry you in a sense that some of LSU’s past team leaders have.

Again, have some foresight & see where this is going.

It's going to depend greatly on how the freshman improve during the offseason. As you said, it hasn't been great this year, so it's not a high bar.

I disagree. I think he has looked like the most polished freshman at the plate. He still swings and misses at a lot of breaking pitches, but he has shown the ability to hit the fastball when he gets one, which cannot be said for the other freshman.

Agreed. Beloso has hit the ball hard this year...unfortunately, most teams have played him perfectly. He needs to stop trying to "beat the shift" and start trying to drive balls. He hit a ball yesterday that likely would have left the park on Friday or Saturday. I think we see his HR numbers explode once the weather warms up a bit.
