re: 1 week to chill: Bordeaux vs Champagne?

Champagne into Burgundy. Spend a few nights in Beaune. Although I have not been to Bordeaux so this is a one sided point of view.

However understand that, although it’s changing, an American style wine tasting isn’t offered at many places. Can be more hot or miss, irregular hours, etc.... again this is changing but getting a guide could be worth it to get into some off the radar spots.
