Network numbers are already down with NXT moving to USA. Currently they're about 1.4 million subscribers worldwide, that's $14 million a month. Let's say RR, WM, and SS can draw around 500,000 buys at $70. That's $35 million each. They are losing money on the big ppvs. Under the old model the cable providers would take their cut and then pay WWE but that took several months. The network gives them complete control. Maybe they can make a better deal with ESPN+. The television business has changed a lot in the last few years.

I just was reminded why I hate listening to Hannity. He’s more annoying than Mrs Wishn after her daily appointments

But nowhere near as bad as the MSNBC and VFN evening crew. I like Hannity but can't stand his lead-in and lead-out. Poli Sci degree and I'm already burnt out of this election cycle.

WM was doing 700,000 to 800,000 before the network. Cena-Rock did over a million buys. RR and SS can still do 500,000, maybe at $60 though.

Depends if the ESPN+ deal happens. Could be Cena vs Fiend or Goldberg vs Cena instead. I don't know why they couldn't just do a Goldberg vs Cena non title match though and keep Fiend vs Reigns.

Not with the current talent and content on the "main" roster.....at least not with what we are seeing right now.

They could give Cena a short run as champ with 50/50 booking to redeem the Fiend at MITB. I'm not sure they want to ram Roman down our throats and lose all that goodwill from his cancer comeback. A Roman vs Goldberg battle of the spears would be halfway decent.

except it's not $35 million straight to WWE .... the PPV companies get 45-50% of that revenue. unlike with the WWE Network where WWE gets 100% of the revenue.

WrestleMania at it's best years barely did over 1 million buys. Rumble and SummerSlam maybe 400,000-500,000 ... Survivor Series even less ... and all of the other PPV's were lucky to draw 100,000-200,000. so when you do the math, they're far better off with the WWE Network and especially when you consider the demand for WWE is nowhere near what it once was when they were drawing PPV numbers like mentioned.

the bottom line with WWE considering going back to outrageous PPV prices all boils down to being a publicly traded company full of corporate greed. their revenue is consistently up every year, but it's never enough.
