His teams start off slow?
The majority of his seasons LSU has had max 3 losses before sec play. The losses come againts sec teams.
Thats not notoriously slow. It wasnt until like two years ago LSU was losing 5-6 games before sec play.

when you don't cover 2nd.....twice....nuclear meltdown is not unreasonable.
