re: Kim Mulkey on OTB discussing mid week games

I don't think anyone cares that we give up more than usually runs in the midweek games. That's reasonable.
But getting shut down by much lower quality pitchers than you'll face every weekend in the SEC and scoring a run, or getting shut out, is unacceptable.
Yes i know it's baseball, and shite happens, but too often we suck with the bats in mid week games, and those are everyday starters swinging the bat more often than not playing.


5 of the 12 mid week games last year we scored under 2 runs.
Only 8 of the 54 other games we played, we scored less than 2 runs, and one of those games was a 7 inning game. Some of those games we were going up against 1st round pitchers, which is much different than what was faced in the mid week.
