Comparing anything Skip did in the 90’s to anything that any coach does in college baseball now is pointless. It is a different sport now than when Skip coached. Skip would still be be great, better than CPM and the one of the best coaches in the country today but he wouldn’t be as good as even he was in the 90’s.

But you are not answering the question? Did he or did he not lose midweek games to in state rivals and if so, why? You say you can't compare, what is the reason other than hyperbole.
