I think the way the draft works, if Joe sits out a year, he can re-enter the next year. If push comes to shove, if I was Joe, I would sit out a year. Long term, it is better for him to have a fair shot in the NFL than to be cannon fodder for a bad team and lose his health.

You serious Clark?
Joe is without a doubt the number one pick in the draft. He is also mid twenties. He needs to play now and get paid. Sitting out a year would hurt the guy not help him.

With Cincinnati's propensity to suck what if they end up with the #1 pick next year too? Does Joe sit out another valuable year as well?

He may try and force a trade but sitting is not a viable option.

You are wrong. After Joe is drafted by Cincinnati at number one, Cincinnati will own the rights to Joe Burrow for five years.
