James K Polk

Went into office with a list of specific goals. He accomplished his goals. He left after 1 term.

Classic OT
Preferring the human owners over an inner city hero who inspired so many, President Barack Hussein Obama.

Dividing the country and bringing it closer to civil war as a result.

I nearly put Teddy and Polk on here but thought it was too long. Those are my next two favorite Presidents.

Lincoln? Seriously? Lincoln was a fricking tyrant. Like a jaded wife that won't grant a divorce out of spite and so she can bottom out your bank account in perpetuity.

Rest of the list is really solid

I'm not done ranting.

I'm really sick of seeing Lincoln at the top of these best presidents lists.

Any president that plunges the nation into war because some of its members want to go in a different direction, doesn't deserve best anything. It forever changed the power structure of the country , for the worst. We're still paying for it today.

The original vision for the country and how it started out, was as a collection of nation-states with some overarching bonded principles. Mainly brought together in common defense but also to allow for freedom of movement and a shared code of commerce and contract for legal disputes and a prosperous economy with trade between the states. Very similar to the European Union.

The Southern States tried to have their own Brexit and some in the North didn't want to give up their honey pot.

The states were never meant to be subservient to the federal government. They were joined together at their own will. Lincoln and his industrialists overlords thought otherwise.

The Founders would not be pleased

Wanting to go "in a different direction" is certainly one way to describe the desire to abolish slavery. Lol

I know this is difficult for some of you to understand but the reasons for the separation are totally irrelevant. Bottom line is, it was consistent with the founding principles. States have every right to separate if they choose to.

What if some states had chosen never to join in the first place? 100 years later would you then have chosen to annex them under force if they had slavery?

Like I said, tyrants.

Which is why Jefferson Davis will never be considered a great president. He fired the first shot, remember?

Please list Obama's lasting policy accomplishments from his 8 years. Excluding weaponizing the intelligence agencies, and the IRS against his political opponents, obviously. Also, excluding weakening the nation's standing in the world, droning US citizens, wiretapping presidential candidates, laundering tax dollars through green energy companies, etc...
