First off I don’t think anyone is trying to protect him from comments, we are just tired of people repeating the same bullshite over and over that everyone already knows.

Second, there’s a difference between criticism and just plain insulting someone. Criticism might sound something like, player x swings at pitches out of the zone or he needs to shorten his swing. Not simply insulting the guy because he’s weak.
