Good eye. It would seem that the creature is possibly a heretofore unknown species of Moray Eel. It would help if we knew the size of the specimen. I read many articles and all I got was that it was “dolphin sized.”

Like I said before, the colors of some marine species fade, so it could very well be a common species. I’ve been diving with morays over 6’ long and as big around as my thigh.
