Best weapon (other than a handgun ) that you can openly carry is a walking cane with a crook wide enough to hook around someone's neck. Legally, it's a medical device, and due to restrictions in HIPAA, not even TSA nor police are allowed to question your need for such a device. I've carried them on board airliners without a second glance. In fact, they usually ask you to move to the front of the boarding line.

Get one made out of a solid hardwood like hickory.

How are you going to get caught with brass knuckles? You walking through medal detectors or something? Then probably not a good idea. Somewhere else? I mean don’t get caught. I feel like you are over thinking it.

I have my EDC knife I have just because, but I don’t even think about it half the time if there’s places I’m not supposed to take it outside of the airport.

So you are not handicap and you carry a cane, and they let you skip the line to board planes early? And you do all of this because you feel the need to carry a weapon? You must live in New Orleans east or something
