looks like they are doing some kind of virtual reunion.

Makes sense. I wonder if Jeff will already be on location shooting next season or if he'll still be in the States. I know they were supposed to be starting in March but got pushed back.

My days are so mixed up, I thought I had missed an episode last night after seeing this thread near the top of the board.

This show has really gone downhill. Too many advantages. And Jeff should have had them vote immediately after Jeremy left camp.

I happen to love all the new advantages. It's one of the things survivor does that keeps them on the air for 20 years. They are always reinventing the game.

Some seasons work, some are a huge miss (looking at you One World) but it is always new and interesting.

Except for Tony I hate the majority alliance. Sophie was a crappy winner her season and I hope she doesn't win again.

That was some poor decision making all around at the end of that tribal.

After Jeremy realized that Sarah also had an advantage, he peaced out. Only smart move.

Once the 5 person alliance huddles and Sarah plays her advantage, then the vote is 6-3. So the majority alliance can split 3-3 and unless BOTH have an idol, they win the re-vote.

So, actually dumb to put 4 on Tyson... if Kim had played her idol for him then Sophie is gone.

And Kim, either roll the dice that you aren't getting votes, or play the idol for yourself. If they play it right and split 3-3, then one of your 4 is gone regardless.

I don't like all the advantages but mostly I just hate extinction island.

I think Michelle voted Tyson as well. Only 2 votes for Sophie. But I agree they should have split the vote 3-3. Wondering if someone in the 5 got mixed and voted wrong.

I'm assuming Tyson had no fire tokens to leave anyone, and that he did not quit the game.

I guess I missed where the lines had been drawn and we ended up 5 vs 5, but when they spent half the episode on family bonding I guess some things had to be cut out. Last week was a free for all, and now the tribe is split right down the middle? Lame, lame, lame, but the strategizing and scrambling post-immmnity challenge has always been my favorite aspect of the show.

Glad Kim and Sophie survived. Old Tony is starting to emerge and his days are likely numbered.

I prefer the family thing be done this way. It eliminated having a winner of a challenge getting a noose put around his neck.

You are right, that sneaky bitch.

It ended up 5 for Tyson, 2 for Denise, and 2 for Sophie.

So even if Kim has played her idol for Tyson, it would have been a 2-2 tie and then Denise certainly goes home on the re-vote.

I enjoyed this version of the loved ones visit. but, it is kind of sad how some players only had 1 visitor. Like Michelle, only her sister. I don't know enough about them to know their home situation though.

I'm assuming the family visit was discussed with players ahead of time? Was thinking about Rob and Amber's kids being hauled so far from home when neither parent would have been home to approve.

as far as game play, i have to think the selfish move by jeremy will cost him at some point?

Tony seems like the front runner right now

smart move would be to separate sophie/sarah

kim playing her idol will likely cost her

I was just reading the EW recap. Apparently Tyson refused to participate if his daughter couldn't be part of the family visit, so CBS let everyone know ahead of time that their kids would be part of the family visit this season. I assume they didn't know that it would be so early or that the players on extinction would also get a visit.

I agree, he's in a bad spot, although with Sarah's steal a vote advantage, he made the right play, because his side was outnumbered either way.

It was a rare dumb play for her. She really should have played it for herself, or just held it and hoped that she wasn't the target.

I liked the reunion and how they did it. I couldn't see them sending the kids away if there would've been a challenge.

I agree with you about Tony but I also think he will be targeted soon.

Agree about Sophie and Sarah needing to be split up

Why in the hell did Kim do that?? I get they didn't have the numbers but damn. This will bite her later.

Yeah, he is going to be on very shaky ground now though.
