I’ve never understood the political class on the left’s fascination with making climate change a big issue. Real people on both sides of the political spectrum don’t care about climate change.

There are two groups of people. Those who use it to push a political agenda and those who truly believe it is an existential threat to humanity.
Most of the time the histrionics is coming from the latter group which is funded and propped up by the former.

It's easier to understand when you realize that redistribution of wealth and not the environment is their end goal.
Fear, condemnation, and ridicule are proven leftists winners in this country.
