Our PGC designed our offense last year

People acted like it was important because it was.

Brady won the fricking Broyles award.

This is all true, but people are acting like no team has ever or can ever win without the Broyles award winner as your PGC.

I'm not even sure if other teams even have a PGC, do all of them have one? if so, we sure as shite can't name them.

The position itself isn't nearly as important as we make it out to be.

Was it last season? Absolutely. Does it have to be going forward? Nope

People just don’t have a ton of faith in E alone.

Because E alone didn’t instill a ton of faith.

If this was all as simple as installing a playbook, E could have done it just by watching film. Any coach worth his salt can watch an all 22 and diagram the play.

(PGC)Jerry Sullivan 2018 salary : $450k

(PGC)Joe Brady 2019 salary : $410k

(PGC)Scott Linehan 2020 salary: $800k

(“Offensive coor”) Steve Ensminger salary: $800k

I mean it’s pretty clear to see that the passing game coordinator position has been expanded based on what Brady did last year. So much so, that the 2020 hire has basically been brought on to be the defacto Offensive coordinator, just like Brady was last year.

Had Brady been retained, he was going to get an even bigger raise, too.

So while everyone continues to down play it, the PGC is currently tied as the 2nd highest paid coach on LSU’s staff.

This shows a lack of faith for Ensminger to outright develop an offense. And also shows that the most recent hire of PGC is much more important than you make it out to be.

People are acting like all E needed was a playbook,

He couldn’t watch saints film before 2018?
