If the rumors are true that Robinson is leaving for USCe then I think Faulk would be a slam dunk. They were discussing on OTB this morning. Dude would not only be a well respected coach among the young players, but he’s a LSU legend and would kill it on the recruiting trail. What say you?

He’s kinda proven himself around the building recruiting on campus ect. Guess we will see how his on field coaching translates...

My sauces say he’s getting the promotion. I think it’s a solid move. He has the experience on/off the field and at the next level.

Does anyone know why Robinson wants out so bad? He tried the NFL last year, and now he wants to leave for a job in which the whole staff will be gone by January of next year. What’s the word on him? Is he a good coach and recruiting coordinator?

According to others (no, I do not have any sources, just passing along what I have read in other places), he has been "strongly encouraged" by LSU to look for other opportunities because it is unlikely that his contract is renewed next month. I doubt Robinson himself would be itching to get out of LSU for S. Carolina of all places.

Do they drug test the coaches?

I don't mean to be negative, but I have to ask.
The OP believes that Faulk would be "a well respected coach among the young players, but he’s a LSU legend and would kill it on the recruiting trail"
I believe both to be true, but it is suggested that the be hired to coach RBs, not to be respected by young players or recruit.
Both of those are important, but can he coach (don't confuse with perform as) RBs?
To be honest, I hope that he has proven that to be true because for the other reasons listed, I would like to see him on the staff.

Os had a year to evaluate him, highly unlikely he promotes based on the fact he’s a good recruiter alone.

look at the money
Pelini 2mil
Linehan $800k
Raymond 30% raise to $600k
wouldnt be surprised if Mickey joseph and Busch both got bumps too.
Raymond prob takes Robinsons Rec Coor position. They let Robinson go so they can justify Raymonds bump, mainly, among others

Who says he WANTS out?
I heard a month ago he was going to be replaced and it would be Faulk.
