I've worked with them a few times over a period of about 3 years. The thing they did for us was to take what we already determined to be good ideas and convince upper management that we needed to do it ASAP. Too bad the company wouldn't just listen to their own employees and had to pay a consultant 7 figures for something that they had already paid for.

Your internal audience clearly doesn’t have the clout to influence as needed...even if they have the right ideas.

Consulting firms offer smart people on demand that work much longer hours than the typical employee. They play up experience across the industry but I generally find that part overrated. They cost an absurd amount which is a big reason they get the mindshare of executives.
