re: May I suggest that it's possible to really like WW and point out his flaws concurrently...

I didn't take issue with no TO, I know how WW handles the ends of games in these situations. I just would have liked to have seen better communication amongst the players on the screens that led to 3's for Auburn and Mays take the ball to the rim at the end of regulation.
It wouldn't have guaranteed a win but there were more options that could have led to a score by driving to the goal.

Off-topic, but has anyone else noticed that when you don’t guard a guy at the 3 point line and give him time to set and shoot, he’ll miss more often than when a guy is closing out on him or has a hand in his face.
If we’re going to let them get the shot off without just fouling and making them get 2 at the line instead of 3, I’d almost rather we just defend the paint and leave the perimeter alone and let them think about that shot they’re about to take.
Auburn hit 3 of their 4 final attempts from outside. The only one they missed was the one where the guy was wide arse open and nobody even tried to rush his shot.
As a former player, I also found it easier to shoot when the defender was good enough that I couldn’t think and was just reacting. Maybe there’s something to that in terms of being a strategy.
