Really nice slate of games today. Though this MSU/Michigan game has been less than impressive to start.
If Michigan wins this game, Sparty fans gonna go full meltdown.

Most punchable face on each team:
Michigan - Austin Davis
Michigan State - Asst Coach Dane Fife
I'm not sure why the most punchable faces are always white guys, but they are.

LSU shoots so much better on the road.

Yeah this game is pretty damn important for both teams. that said...crazy to see the depth of the b10 this year. Also PSU and Rutgers with some new blood.

Second half of MSU/Michigan is loads better than the first half. 1 point game.

michigan state gonna finish with 12 losses and a 3 seed

The remaining schedule is pretty damn brutal. 2 games vs MD, @PSU, illinois. Rutgers isn't bad either.
10+ losses isn't out of the realm

And they were one of the teams that was #1 at one point. Crazy hoops season.

it was a fairly crazy few weeks, but the cream has risen at this point, and most of them are the usual suspects or at least part of the second tier of usual suspects

Plus you had Duke and Kentucky losing to some really small schools early in the season.
Eta: this team definitely has underwhelmed for suren

Who do you consider that to be?

I feel like Tillman for MSU is a few years away from being eligible for medicaid.

baylor, kansas, and duke are the 3 best teams and are on their own tier for me.
gonzaga, sdsu, and dayton are all really good mid-majors.
louisville, florida state, maryland, and west virginia are all legitimate threats as well.
that just all feels fairly normal to me.

Michigan out played MSU although 1st half was ugly basketball. Kudos to Michigan

I would argue that Baylor, Dayton, Florida State, and West Virginia being threats is abnormal. Also, Louisville hasn't had less than 14 losses since the '16-'17 season, so them being potentially really good would also be abnormal, and maryland has had 13 and 11 losses the last two seasons.
The only "expected" teams are Duke and Kansas. There are 6 or so teams currently in the top 10 that you don't usually expect to see there.

gonzaga? and kansas, duke, and gonzaga are by far the most consistent teams of the past 20 years, so that couldnt be further from unexpected.
louisville has won a national title in the past 10 years. a couple bad years due to scandal doesn't make them a shock to be back in the mix.
florida state has been in their same current neighborhood for 3 of past 4 years now. same thing with west virginia.
baylor is having their best year ever, so that's admittedly odd, but it's also not exactly out of no where. if i told you before the season that maryland would be ranked 9th right now, you'd be like "ok seems fine." they were 7th in the preseason poll fwiw
outside of unc being terrible, which happens every so often, im just failing to see the overall insanity that people seem to be clamoring for (outside of the month or so when we didn't know who was good yet).

I was only responding to the teams you listed to support that this was a normal year. Gonzaga would definitely be one of the usuals up top.
Florida St, West Virginia, Dayton, SD St, and Maryland are not teams you expect to see in the top 10. I'm not convinced any of them are really that good or will be there in the end.
Which is why I think this tourney is gonna be awesome.
