We have a relatively short front line and a short bench. We have no rim protector. So the roster makes winning on the road in conference games more difficult.

Against Vandy, who was shooting 25% from three, we had a game plan to sag off shooters. Obviously did not work. What beat us was allowing the dribble drive to the goal in the second half. Vandy had a 6’10” and 6’9” guy underneath. That is a challenge for LSU.

Early in the year we lost our poise down the stretch and lost. LSU came back and went ahead 84 to 80 with 6:26 to go. We got out scored 19 to 6. Yeah bad defense.. but a very winnable game if the offense would have been patient and made some shots.

Whatever LSU is going to win a lot of games.. But this is probably a Sweet Sixteen team at best. Still very good
