It’s a silly argument for sure, but sometimes you gotta remind your sibling who got here first and owns that bread.

The Chiefs are like the Cards and Blues in that they’re a perennial contender and have been for the majority of their existence, the Royals can’t say that, and that’s why I think their parade was larger. Just a guess.

But who has more fans?
I think Weather really was an issue just because it brings out the non fans.

That could have had some influence for sure. I still think weather and the overwhelming crowd size predictions were the biggest factors though.

They were calling for 3" of snow and temps in the mid 20s. Plus, with the madness of the Royals parade, a lot of people assumed this crowd would be twice the size. I think between the predictions of miserable weather conditions and the threat of such a huge crowd, a lot of people decided to watch on TV instead.

Nonetheless, it was still a very good turnout. The Chiefs just made the mistake of tweeting a photo of the rally 5 hours before it started, and the national media ran with it.

Chiefs definitely have more fans. They share pretty similar territory, but the Royals only have the western 1/3 of Missouri whereas the Chiefs have pretty much all of Missouri (aside from a fair amount of holdouts in STL who are anti-NFL thanks to Kroenke).

One way to look at it is the Royals have 1MM followers on twitter and the Chiefs have 1.4MM followers.

I think Mahomes and Kelce showing up to Game 3 of the SCF ( it was a dud) may have changed some hearts and minds.

It kind of pissed me off. And the reasons is because I know damn well the Hunts told them to, not because they wanted to

Yeah, that has crossed my mind. Blues Twitter returned the favor during the Chiefs’ postseason run though.

You guys have 2.1, not sure where your 300k is coming from.

Also you know for a fact STL has nicer areas than what KC offers, dont be foolish.

I believe my numbers were from FRED and without question population growth and economic growth is greater in the KC metro over the past 20 years......here’s a typical slum home off the Country Club Plaza.

BTW, you’re FOS and an arrogant St Louis Chicago wannabe. Lol! I done told ya, we defecate in KC and and y’all get the chunks. Ya know it!

what was strange to me was the their turnout for the Royals vs the turnout for the Chiefs. The folks over there are extremely passionate about the chiefs, far, far more than the royals. That being said, The Royals parade was impressive, and the chiefs was underwhelming

A lot of Missouri got snow and ice that morning so the crowd was more local. I know a bunch of people from SWMO that went up for the Royals parade and weren’t able to for the Chiefs because of the weather, my family included.

On top of that, I know some people that live in KC stayed home this week because the Royals parade was a massive shite show with the number of people that showed up.

Attendance was fine. The only problem was some dumbass on the Chiefs account tweeting out a picture 4 hours before the rally even started. I knew instantly when I saw that tweet that people would run with it.

I saw images from the parade and just being honest, the crowd size was super underwhelming. Not trying to start shite, I just figured the crowd would be much much bigger. The Cleveland Cavaliers had over 1.3 million for their parade a few years ago....and the Cavs are the 3rd favorite team in Cleveland. If the Browns ever win a Super Bowl, there will be over 5 million for that parade...rain, sleet or snow. Just figured a 50 year championship drought for the Chiefs would draw a massive crowd.

Cleveland with 5 million for a parade? You’re delusional. Cleveland may have 2 million in it’s metro area, y’all offering free beer, transportation and lodging? Lol!
