I will update the OP with all trades as they happen. A big one went down last night.
Atlanta came out great in this one, they get Capela and all they really gave up of any value was the Brooklyn 1st (not even value IMO)

I like this trade for Atlanta and Denver the most.

Yeah, this seems like a panic move on the part of Houston
Minnesota got pretty good value for Covington also

This is Houston going all in on small ball. They got the best player in the deal.
I think they will be better in the short term because of it. Still can’t get past the 2nd round at best though.

Looks like Denver and maybe Miami and Toronto are making offers for Jrue, but they have not blown away the FO.
Woj tweeted we were happy to take Jrue through the deadline and would take an overwhelming offer to pry him away. It reads a lot like we are trying to solicit a higher offer for Jrue.
The beat guys are saying they don’t think we will get that offer, but it’s odd for there to be so many leaks about a guy we are supposedly going to keep through the deadline.

quote:Agree. Surprised at how much the Wolves got for Covington and how much Houston gave up for Covington. Atlanta got Capela for a song.

quote:Wonder if it could be a smaller center like Christian Wood that would not cost much and can run up and down the court. Doubt they have enough to get Drummond or Thompson, but who knows?

What else do they possibly have to trade lol

They can take back around 12 million in salary by adding a 5th team to the Covington trade
They are holding off on executing it until Houston finds a 5th team for a big.
My guess would be Kanter or Olynyk

quote:Olynyk makes some sense. Not sure Boston would give up Kanter unless they had another center deal in the works.

Rumored that Rockets are after Cavs' center, Tristan T.
Posted on 2/5/20 at 1:56 pm to ErikGordan
Meh, they just traded away a younger better Thompson
Posted on 2/5/20 at 1:56 pm to ErikGordan
quote:Interesting given he makes $18 million. Not sure adding someone like Rivers to the deal gets them there salary-wise.

Is cleavland really just going to give him away that's be dumb
Posted on 2/5/20 at 2:16 pm to roguepelican
He told them he's not re-signing, so anything that they can get is a win
Posted on 2/5/20 at 2:20 pm to Soggymoss
Yeah but still they should get something decent in return instead of JUST something I mean you might as well let him walk if that's the case
