I believe that's the first time I ever had to look a word up on here.

The logical end point is that the ONLY reason standards of decorum exist is to prevent kids from adopting some behavior. Is that really what we are saying?

It's a great question that I don't have the answer to. I think I have my view on this whole thing as being a different set of rules because it's a football game. That was always the case from as far back as I can remember. It was extremely clear that cursing in public, or really at all, was only done around LSU/Saints sporting events. My parents didn't curse other than that and I knew if I got caught cursing that there would be hell to pay. The line not to cross was laid out plain as day.

I understand what you're saying, but again, the logical endpoint of that perspective is that anything could go just because it's a football game. If you are just saying it's "different rules", then it reverts back to being just a spectrum of allowable behaviors and not an actual principle. Is there anything that could be chanted at the stadium that would cause you to unequivocally say it was wrong?

We call those ‘hunting camp rules’

‘Whatever you hear at the camp, don’t bring that stuff around your mother son‘

i heard that my whole life from my father. Makes sense. You can’t keep children sheltered from that stuff forever

I will never question the people who say it’s embarrassing and all that Jazz. I get it, I really do. But at the same time, is it really that harmful? Does clutching pearls over it do ANY good? What’s the worst that can come from a student body doing a chant that has profanity in it?

In the long run, it hurts nothing. I’ve never heard a recruit say anything negative about NECK, and I’ve never heard of any entity denying sponsorship because of it

Scrub, sorry for being a dick earlier. My b
