It's certainly leverage for the Saints, but playing poorly while injured may not carry much weight. I think the biggest advantage is that he sounds like he wants to stay here, so hopefully that translates into not trying to break contract records. He does deserve a big contract; however, I don't think it should be in the Zeke range.

Freeman is 8/yr and Johnson is 13. I see him in that 12-13/yr range as a fair market value. Yes he has dominated many times, but the consistency has been an issue. Plus he is not a full time player like Zeke and Bell.

Agree, but the guy is way to versatile and 1 year a career does not make...good or bad.

Balanced play calling (fingers crossed) and Murray getting increased carries (especially between the tackles) should put him back where he was previous 2 season

Hope both camps are looking at it RB/WR hybrid instead of Elliot comp.
